About 150 militants in IS reach Raqqa city after a strict siege by SDF

SOHR received information from reliable sources that dozens of militants in IS were able to reach IS main HQ in Syria, 150 militants reached Raqqa city coming from DerEzzor and Hama countrysides, the sources confirmed taht they reached al-Furat southern sides and used bridges to reach Raqqa city which is still under siege by SDF backed by the coalition airstrikes.

These backups for the IS in Raqqa city comes after the military operation of Madness of al-Furat led by SDF backed by the coalition airstrikes which target to isolate Raqqa city from its countryside, cutting IS supply roads around Raqqa city leaving only side ways and water ways using boats through al-Furat river after the coalition warplanes destroyed the bridges of the river in Raqqa cutting the supply roads between Raqqa and southern Raqqa

These advances towards Raqqa city by connecting al-Furat Dam and the bridge that connects Tabaqa area, then reaching 8km from western side of al-Balikh river north east of Raqqa, allowing SDF to advance and reach closer to the city, starting a larger battle to push the IS out of the area.
