With the end of the second month of military operation… the regime forces advance in 9 villages in Deir Hafer area after being expelled from al-Jarrah airbase by the “Islamic State” organization

 

The regime forces led by Tiger groups led by the Brigadier-General in the ranks of the regime forces Sohail Hassan, known as “al-Nemr” have ended their second month of their counter attack, which was launched by the support of the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, the elite forces of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Russian artillery, Russian warplanes and regime’s warplanes and helicopters, this operation was monitored by the Syrian Observatory for human rights, where the regime forces managed to regain control of more than 150 villages and towns in the eastern and northern countryside of Aleppo, most prominently is al-Khafseh, Aran, Tedef and al-Khafseh water station.

The violent clashes which are still taking place between the regime forces against the “Islamic State” organization, have reached the outskirts and vicinity of Deir Hafer town which is still controlled by the organization, while the regime forces have reached from the extreme eastern countryside of Aleppo to al-Jarrah airbase, of which the “Islamic State” organization was able to expel the regime forces of it after the regime forces’ recent control of it and inspecting it on the 9th of March, in an attempt to take control of the airbase, which is the most important camps for the “Islamic State” organization in Syria.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has observed during the past 72 hours the regime forces transferring the main fight area to the vicinity of Dier Hafer, after failing to achieve advancement in al-Jarrah airbase area, and the regime forces backed by Hezbollah’s elite were able to advance in the area and control 9 villages in the countryside of Deir Hafer, and the regime forces continue inspecting the area, amid continued clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against members of the “Islamic State” organization in an attempt to regain the lost areas.
