With a cover of heavy shelling… the regime forces achieve a significant advancement in Damascus and continue trying to isolate Barza neighborhood from the rest of the eastern neighborhoods of the capital

Damascus Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
A shell fell on area in al-Tiajara neighborhood in the center of the capital causing material damage, no information about injuries, while the clashes continued violently between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against Rahman Corps, First Brigade, the Islamic movement of Ahrar al-Sham, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and Jaysh al-Islam in the farms and orchards of the neighborhoods of Barza and October and outskirts of both neighborhoods, where the Syrian Observatory for human rights was informed that the regime forces were able to achieve a new advancement and control large parts of al-Hafiz Street which is connecting between the neighborhoods of Barza and Teshreen, the clashes were accompanied by tens of artillery and missile strikes carried out by the regime forces on areas of the clash and on other areas in the neighborhoods, including 23 missile believed to be ground-to-ground, and this advancement is considered important one for the regime forces, because it allows them to close the road between the neighborhoods of Teshreen and Barza, and also separates Barza neighborhood from the rest of the eastern neighborhoods of Damascus.
