Al- Nusra Front and Jund al- Aqsa Organization have issued a statement, SOHR has received a copy of it, entitled “A statement issued by al- Nusra Front, Jund al- Aqsa and the Mujahedeen factions in al- Zaweyi Mountain”, where they accuse the leadership of the Syria Revolutionaries Front to “assault on ordinary Muslims and some of the Mujahedeen factions in the region.” “Al- Nusra Front along with Mujahedeen and the people of the area have defended the people’s lives and their money; and this is considered one of the most obvious right in the Sharia and common sense”, the statement continued.

“In spite of this and because we maintain the cross- line and al- Rebat with the Nusayri army, because we fear that they may advance and use the present situation and as a response to the efforts of some good people in Levant who mediate to stop the fighting, we announced our agreement on following proposals:

  • To establish a Sharia court headed by al- Sheikh Abdullah al- Mohayseni. This court is responsible for setting conflicts with Jamal Maarouf and his followers.
  • The factions ensure his appearance before the court after the judge’s request no later than 24 hours.
  • To release the detainees of the two sides immediately after the appearance of Jamal Maarouf before the court with an exception of those who are wanted to the court.
  • Ceasing fire from both sides starting on this Saturday at 2 o’clock.

“We note that we do not do this but to defend the people’s lives, money and wives from aggressors and as soon as the facts are going to be unveiled”, the statement ended.
