The “Islamic State” organization carries out the heaviest attack in this year on the countryside of al-Salamiyah and the main road of Aleppo; about 45 are casualties and injuries of both parties

the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that violent clashes are taking place since the dawn of today between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization in the northeastern countryside of al-Salamiyah, after a violent attack by the organized on the villages of al-Mab’oujeh, Aqareb and al-Safi, which are about 15 km away of al-Salamiyah city, the Syrian Observatory obtained information from several reliable sources reported that the organization advanced in several locations and took their control of the regime Forces, after forcing the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them to withdraw from it as a result of the violent attack carried out by the “Islamic State” organization on the area.

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that these violent clashes (which are close to the road of al-Salamiyah – Ithriyah – Khanaser – Aleppo) are accompanied by intensive shelling with tens of shells between both parties, where the organization targeted with several shells areas in al-Sabbura town which is near the clash areas, while 3 explosions shook al-Salamiyah city caused by the fall of shells on the city, amid raids by warplanes on the clash sites, while the clashes so far have killed more than 9 members of the regime forces and injured more than 20 others, and also there are missing members from the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, which pushed the regime forces to bring military reinforcements to the area to hold their control and repel the attack, while the Syrian Observatory documented so far 15 members of the “Islamic State” organization, and confirmed information about more casualties in the ranks of both parties.

Cross sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the “Islamic State” organization executed a man and 2 of his sons in al-Mab’oujeh village when members of the organization entered the village, and information about other executions carried out against several other persons.

This offensive is considered the heaviest offensive in 2017 carried out by the “Islamic State” organization on this area, where al-Mab’oujeh village witnessed at the end of April 2015 a similar offensive, during of which the organization executed 46 civilian citizens including about 10 children and female citizens in al-Mab’oujeh village -which is inhabited by Ismaili, Sunna and Await citizens east of al-Salamiyah city- by burning, slaughtered and by shooting by members of the “Islamic State” organization.
