After about 1100 air and land strikes… Tiger Groups and Elite of Hezbollah almost besiege the last town controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in Aleppo province

Aleppo province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes are still taking place in areas in the vicinity of Maskanah town in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, between the regime forces supported by the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and Non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization, where the regime forces were able to achieve a new progress after closing yesterday the road between Maskanah – Al-Raqqah and the east of Syria, and took control of its Samuma village, thus cutting completely besieging the outskirts of Maskanah where hundreds of meters separate the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them from reaching the right bank of the Euphrates River, and by doing that the last town controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in Aleppo province has been besieged, while SOHR received information about the withdrawal of members of the organization and their families from the town just before the regime forces were able to approach it and besiege it completely.
This wide progress for the regime forces since about 2 weeks ago came with a cover of artillery, rocket and aerial shelling by the regime forces, warplanes and helicopters, which targeted the town of Maskanah and its countryside with about 1100 air, artillery and rocket strikes, destroying the property of citizens and injuring tens of people since the 22nd of May 2017.
