“Euphrates Wrath” Operation reaches the gates of Al-Raqqah city before starting breaking it in after reaching equal distances on most fronts

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has obtained information from several reliable sources that it is anticipated in the coming hours the start of a new phase of the “Euphrates Wrath” operation led by the Syria Democratic Forces with the participation of Syrian Elite Forces with the support of US Special Forces and International Coalition’s warplanes, aims to start an offensive on Al-Raqqah city in order to enter and control it and expel the “Islamic State” organization from the city, which is its main stronghold in Syria.

This anticipation is accompanied by preparations by the Syrian Elite Forces and the forces of the “Euphrates Wrath” operation, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that these forces are working to repair bridges to cross the waterways from the village of Raqqat Samra towards the eastern entrance of Al-Raqqah city, also these forces are preparing their ammunition, weapons and military vehicles and preparing their fighters to start the grand battle of Al-Raqqah, which is expected to start in the coming hours.
