“Euphrates Wrath” operation forces start their offensive on Al-Raqqah city and reach the eastern outskirts of the city along with entering the area of the Division 17 north of it

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights observed the outbreak of violent clashes since the dawn of today Tuesday, the 6th of June 2017, between “Euphrates Wrath” operation forces supported by International Coalition’s warplanes and US Special Forces against members of the “Islamic State” organization in areas east and north of Al-Raqqah city, where the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation forces were able to reach the outskirts of al-Mashlab neighborhood east of Al-Raqqah city, which was evacuated by the “Islamic State” organization several days ago, in conjunction with clashes between both parties in the campus of the Division 17, while clashes are accompanied by heavy and intense and continued bombing by the International Coalition’s warplanes since midnight of yesterday until now, in conjunction with the artillery shelling by the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation forces.
