The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

The 1st month of the 4th truce claims the lives of 1000 persons about 46% of them were killed by warplanes of the International Coalition

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights continue monitoring the events and its developments, and has documented during the truce period since the 6th of May 2017 until the night of the 6th of the June 2017 the death of 73 citizens including 20 children and 9 women in the “de-escalation zones”.

They are 32 citizen including 7 children and 4 women were killed in shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta, the countryside of Daraa, the northern countryside of Homs and the northern countryside of Hama, and 16 persons including 10 children and a citizen woman were killed in the fall of shells launched by the faction on regime forces’ controlled areas in Daraa city, the western countryside of Hama, Salamiyah city and the countryside of Homs, and 6 persons including a woman were killed by sniper shots in the Eastern Ghouta, the countryside of Daraa and other Syrian areas, and 19 citizens including 3 children and 3 citizen women were killed in raids and airstrikes on northern countryside of Homs, Daraa city and the countryside of Hama.

Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 110 fighters of the faction a mine explosion, shelling and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the countryside of Hama, Daraa, Aleppo and other areas.

While the observatory documented the death of 109 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, they were killed in shelling, targeting and clashes against the rebel and Islamic factions in several Syrian areas.

And in the areas that are outside the “de-escalation zones”, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented 535 civilian citizens, including 96 children and 90 women, they are:

  • 92 persons including 20 children and 17 citizen women were killed in airstrikes on Deir Ezzor city, the countryside of Maskanah in the far eastern countryside of Aleppo, the countryside of Al-Raqqah and the eastern countryside of Hama.
  • 278 person including 50 children under the age of eighteen and 55 women were killed in bombing by the International Coalition’s warplanes on the countryside of Al-Raqqah, Al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor.
  • 81 citizens including 17 children and 8 citizen women were killed in shelling by the “Islamic State” organization on regime forces’ controlled areas in Deir Ezzor city and the eastern countryside of both Hama and Homs.
  • 24 citizens including 2 children and 4 women were executed by the “Islamic State” organization in the Al-Hasakah and the countryside of both al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor.
  • 31 citizens including 2 children and 2 women were killed by the “Islamic State” organization during its attack on the village of Jazrat al-Bushams in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.
  • 29 citizen including 5 children, 4 women and 4 Bedouins were killed by the organization in the villages of Aqareb al-Safyeh and al-Mab’oujeh in the countryside of al-Salamiyah city.

The Syrian Observatory also documented 200 members, they are: 170 persons and they are 68 children under the age of sixteen, 57 female over the age of sixteen and 29 men, the number of family members of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in bombing by the International Coalition on al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and 16 the organization’s families were killed in bombing by warplanes but it is not known whether they were regime’s warplanes or Russian warplanes, and 14 Iraqis were killed in airstrikes by International Coalition on al-Bokamal.

While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented 370 members of the “Islamic State” organization, they were killed in bombing and clashes against the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them in several outside-the-truce areas.

While the Syrian Observatory documented 251 members at least of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, they were killed in shelling, explosions and clashes against the “Islamic State” organization in several outside-the-truce areas, and 25 members were killed by bombing by warplanes of International Coalition on places near al-Tanaf area in the Syrian Desert.

And 143 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces were killed in shelling, explosions and clashes against the “Islamic State” organization in the countryside of Al-Raqqah and the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, while 161 members of the organization were killed in the same clashes.

Also 12 members of commanders and members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization were killed in bombing by unidentified warplanes (it is not known whether they belong to the International Coalition or not) on Jomla area adjacent to the border with the occupied Syrian Golan, and on other places at Yarmouk valley in the western countryside of Daraa.

The Observatory also documented 192 civilian casualties including 27 children and 16 women, they were killed in different circumstances and affected by injuries they had before the truce, and they are:

  • 107 civilian citizens including 23children under the age of eighteen.
  • 8 citizen women were killed in mine explosions in al-Bab area and several areas in the countryside of Al-Raqqah, and in the explosion of bombs and mines in the countryside of Idlib, and by the bullets of the Turkish Border Guards.
  • 70 people including 3 children and 4 women were killed in consecutive explosions in al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and in detonating 2 booby trapped vehicles in al-Rokban camp and Daraa city, and under torture in the Syrian security detentions.
  • A woman was killed in shelling by Syria Democratic Forces on the countryside of Al-Raqqah.
  • 2 men were killed in shelling by the Turkish Forces on areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
  • One man was killed by the bullets of the Jordanian Border Guards.
  • 11 citizens including 3 women and a child were killed an earlier aerial bombardment on the northern countryside of Homs, the countryside of Hama and the eastern and northern countryside of Idlib.

The Syrian Observatory also documented 60 members of the organization who were killed earlier in the shelling and clashes against the factions and against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and in different circumstances, in addition to 35 fighters of the factions who were killed in clashes against the organization and in other circumstances.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also documented a month prior to determining the “de-escalation zones” and the start of the ceasefire since the 4th of April 2017 until the night of the 6th of June 2017.

Where the Syrian Observatory documented 697 civilian citizens including 254 children under the age of eighteen and 129 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in bombing by regime’s warplanes and helicopter and the Russian warplanes, and in shelling by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, sniper bullets, the fall of shells and other circumstances within the areas which were determined later as “de-escalation zones”.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also documented 218 citizens including 59 children under the age of eighteen and 34 women, they were killed in the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas due to airstrikes by the International Coalition, regime’s warplanes and helicopter, shelling by the regime forces, execution by the “Islamic State” organization and the fall of shells launched by the “Islamic State” organization and other circumstances.
