After repelling their attack in the Division 17, “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces enter the second neighborhood in Al-Raqqah and take control of half of it and attempt to break in the third neighborhood

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Clashes continue between the Syria Democratic Forces backed by the US Special Forces against fighters of the “Islamic State” Organization the “Islamic State” organization in areas at the outskirts of Al-Raqqah city and its surroundings, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from reliable sources that the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces supported by the Coalition’s warplanes managed to take control over Harqaliya Suburb, located west of Al-Raqqah city, following the withdrawal of the “Islamic State” organization Of it, while the Syria Democratic Forces and the US Special Forces advanced at the expense of the organization, which enabled them to take control of the western half of Al-Sabahia neighborhood, also the violent clashes continue between fighters of both parties in the part that is still controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in Al-Sabahia neighborhood and southwest of Al-Romaniya neighborhood located north of Al-Sabahia, where clashes are accompanied by exchange of shelling between both parties and strikes targeting battlefields by the International Coalition.

Al-Sabahia neighborhood is the second neighborhood entered by the “Euphrates Wrath” operation Forces in Al-Raqqah City, which is considered the stronghold of the “Islamic State” organization in Syria after Al-Mashlab neighborhood, of which the Syrian Elite Forces along with the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the US Special Forces were able to control yesterday, where a new military operation was expected to be launched to control the buildings located at the outskirts of Al-Sinaa neighborhood west of Al-Mashlab neighborhood at the east of Al-Raqqah City.

This advancement coincides with a decline in the intensity of fighting at the northern front which is the surroundings of the Division 17 and the sugar factory north of Al-Raqqah, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that “Euphrates Wrath” operation Forces have not managed yet to re-advance in the Division 17 because of the intensity of mines planted by the “Islamic State” organization and its fortifications it made to repel the attacks of the “Euphrates Wrath” on the Division17.
