The bombing renewed on Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, the capital of the “al-Khair State”, where the activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored warplanes believed to belong to the International Coalition carry out 4 raids on areas in Al-Mayadeen city; the first raid targeted Abduljabbar School which is inhabited by displaced families from Deir Ezzor city, which caused the death of a family of a man, his wife and 2 of his children, as well as the injury of 12 other people, and the second raid targeted the Zakat center in the Bureij building and the former billing section, while the third raid targeted the former police station which was leased by the “Islamic State” organization to traders of used clothing, and the fourth raid targeted the clinic section at Nori al-Saeed Hospital known as Al-Andalus hospital, which was confiscated by the organization.

And the activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor warplanes believed to belong to the International Coalition carry out airstrikes at 2:45 at the dawn of Saturday on the 17th of June 2017 on areas in al-Mayadeen city, where the first airstrike targeted a displaced man with his wife from Deir Ezzor, while the second airstrike targeted al-Khadar library near the public park in the city, and the third airstrike targeted al-Tekkiye Street in al-Mayadeen, causing a hole in the street, and reliable sources asserted to the Syrian Observatory that the missiles which were used in the bombardment have had a limited impact and did not cause a violent sound when exploded.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that these airstrikes are part of the continuous escalation by the International Coalition’s warplanes on al-Mayadeen city, which is the capital of “al-Khair State” in the organization of the “Islamic State”, whereas administrative, security and “Sharia” centers of the “Islamic State” exist within the borders of “al-Khair State”, and this escalation began to take place on the 22nd of May 2017, where the International Coalition warplanes targeted residential areas and buildings inhabited by the families of fighters and members of the “Islamic State” organization, and these airstrikes from the 22nd of May 2017 until the 17th of June 2017 have killed at least 188 persons and about 20 members of the “Islamic State” organization, after shelling on al-Mayadeen city, its outskirts and vicinity, and the total number of human losses includes 34 civilians among them there are 16 children and 10 women were killed in al-Mayadin city in different airstrikes, and 154 persons of the families of members and fighters of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, including 68 children under the age of sixteen and 57 women over the age of eighteen, who were killed in the targeting of the municipality building and al-Dahmoush building in al-Mayadeen city on the 25th and 26th of May 2017.

The Syrian Observatory also monitored the continuation of the displacement of hundreds of families from al-Mayadeen city and other towns and villages in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, along with the continuation of bombing escalation, where the displaced people are heading towards villages in the countryside of the city out of fear of a new bombardment by the International Coalition warplanes or other parties which may cause massacres against them, especially that al-Mayadeen city has received in the recent months thousands of displaced families from Syrian areas controlled by the organization, as well as displaced people from Iraqi territories, including families of the organization.
