Turkish reinforcements enter the northern countryside of Aleppo as part of preparations for a military operation against the Syrian Democratic Forces

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that a column of soldiers, weapons and vehicles entered areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo over the past 24 hours, and reliable sources confirmed to the Observatory that the column went to the southern countryside of Azaz, which is under the control of the factions and adjacent to areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces between the cities of Azaz and Marea in the northern countryside of Aleppo, the sources also confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the column entered the countryside of Aleppo, in preparation for a military operation by the factions and Turkish forces towards areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces, to control the areas which were lost by the factions last year during an attack by the Syria Democratic Forces, this areas extend between Marea city in the east and Deir Jamal area in the west.

Also SOHR received information about preparations being made in the western countryside of Aleppo by the factions, to carry out attacks in conjunction with attacks in the northern countryside on positions of the Syria Democratic Forces, where these preparations come after the escalation of clashes and exchange of shelling between the Syria Democratic Forces against the factions and the Turkish forces in the northern countryside of Aleppo, following an ambush by Kurdish forces during the advancement of the factions in the vicinity of Deir Samaan and Darat Azza in the western countryside of Aleppo, during which 36 fighters of the factions were killed and others were injured.
