An officer of the regime forces was killed during the continued military operations in the northeastern desert of Palmyra city

Homs Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: The battles continue in violent pace in areas on the road of Palmyra – al-Sokhna and other areas in the desert of Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs, between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces backed by their allied militiamen from Syrian and non-Syrian nationalists, in an ongoing offensive by the regime forces and their allied militiamen to expand their controlled areas and come closer to al-Sokhna town, the last stronghold of the organization in the area, where aerial and missile shelling are continued on the clash areas. The ongoing clashes resulted in killing members of both parties including a General officer in the rank of the regime forces.
