More than 230 civilian casualties killed by Coalition warplanes in the “capital of al-Khair State” in about 40 days of bombing escalation on the city

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the International Coalition warplanes carried out after midnight of yesterday the 28th of June 2017, three new raids targeted Al-Mayadeen city located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the first raid targeted an empty house the “Islamic State” organization seized it earlier in al-Mahareem neighbourhood near Aisha mosque, while the second raid targeted a parked truck near al-Tayba roundabout, while the third raid targeted the area between the Ashish furnace and the Agricultural Bank roundabout in Al-Mayadeen city, no information about casualties caused by the air strikes.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also learned that the “Islamic State” organization buried the bodies of civilians and its members, who died in the massacre of the International Coalition warplanes, which targeted the city dawn of Monday the 26th of June, and killed 42 civilians and 15 members of the organization, 11 of whom were detained in the prison which was targeted, in addition to injuring tens of others and others gone missing.

With this massacre, it rises to 231 at least the number of civilians persons who were killed in the bombardment of the International Coalition warplanes on Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which is the “capital of al-Khair State” in Syria, since the 22nd of May 2017 until the 28th of June 2017, as a result of the escalation of killing and bombing by the International Coalition on the city, including 82 children and 70 citizen women, the casualties were: 42 prisoners and detainees at the “Islamic State” organization, 35 civilian citizens including 14 children under the age of eighteen and 13 woman over the age of eighteen, they were killed in bombing by the Coalition on the city, in addition to 154 families of members of the “Islamic State” organization including 68 children and 57 woman, they were killed in airstrikes on Dahmoush building, which is located near the government complex known as Saraya and the Shakir café in the city of Al-Mayadeen in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor city, which is a 4 story building and most of it was inhabited by families of members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and Moroccan nationalities.

the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also documented the death of 24 people including 3 citizen women, as a result of bombing by the International Coalition warplanes on areas in Bokamal city, Beqres, Abu al-Neitel, al-Quriyah, al-Al-Busayrah, Jdid Ekydat, and other areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, as well as tens of others who were seriously injured.

The airstrikes of the international Coalition and Russian warplanes have caused the destruction of tens of buildings and houses, and also the destruction of infrastructure of public utilities, in addition to the injury of hundreds of persons, some of whom have been permanently disabled and others had amputations, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the continued movement of hundreds of families from Al-Mayadeen city and other cities towns in the eastern countryside to Deir Ezzor, as a result of the continuous escalation of bombing, where the displaced people are heading towards villages in its countryside, fearing a new bombing by the International Coalition or other parties that may commit massacres against them, in particular that in the past months Al-Mayadeen city has received thousands of displaced families from other Syrian areas controlled by the organization and from the Iraqi territory, including families of the organization.
