The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

After it used to control more than half of it… ISIS is out of Aleppo province

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces led by Tiger Groups and supported by the loyal gunmen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities have begun the process of sweeping villages and hills in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo, where reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that members of the “Islamic State” organization withdrew during the hours of last night from the southern countryside of Aleppo to areas control by the organization in the Syrian desert, via the hundreds of meters that the regime forces kept without controlling after they advanced on the road al-Resafa – Ithriyah within the past 24 hours, the organization withdrew from villages and the desert where it used to control in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo, to areas it controls in the Syrian Desert.

And with this advancement today by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, the presence of the “Islamic State” organization in Aleppo province is over, but the regime forces have not yet entered all the areas which were controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo, also this advancement secured the road of Aleppo – Khanasser  – Ithriyah completely, while the road from Ithriyah to Salamiyah remains exposed to the attacks of the organization which spreads at a close distance to the road in the eastern and northeastern countryside of Salamiyah city, this advancement also allows the regime forces to get closer to Twinan Gas Field which they strive to control.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the regime forces were able to achieve a strategic advancement, where they took control of new sites, re-controlling the entire road except for hundreds of meters left by the regime forces without control, and this advancement by the regime forces enabled them to besiege the “Islamic State” organization in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo completely after closing the road in front of it except for hundreds of meters left by the regime forces in the road of Al-Resafa – Ithriyah, and if the organization chooses to withdraw from the southeastern countryside of Aleppo, then this withdrawal will completely end its presence in Aleppo province.
