Guided missile launched by the regime forces leaves 8 fighters of a rebel faction dead in the northern Lattakia Mountains

Lattakia Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: 8 fighters of the Second Coastal Division were killed while others were injured after midnight when their car was targeted by a guided missile launched by the regime forces, near Al-Yamdiyyeh village in the northern countryside of Lattakia. Simultaneously, the regime forces shelled places in the area. A missile also fell last night on an area near Bayt Al-Hayek – Al-Bassit village in Lattakia countryside, causing material damages. However, no casualties were reported. It should be noted that the northern countryside of Lattakia has been witnessing a prevailing calm and a decline in the military operations for weeks, except for limited attacks by each party to the fighting on the other’s positions and an exchange of shelling with machine guns and shells.
