The International Coalition airstrikes cause more casualties in Al-Raqqah amid continued clashes there

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the International Coalition warplanes shelled after midnight areas in Al-Raqqah city, causing the death of a girl and several injuries, amid continued violent clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces backed by the US Special Forces on one hand and ISIS on the other in several areas in the city. Clashes were accompanied by shelling by the SDF on areas of clashes. The SOHR published last night that funerals were held in the cities of Manbij, Al-Qameshly and the Malkiyyeh “Direk” for 10 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces who were killed during shelling and clashes with members of the “Islamic State” organization in Al-Raqqah city. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights observed that the Syria Democratic Forces managed to advance in the southern part of the city near the northern banks of the Euphrates, advancing from Al-Yarmouk neighborhood and taking control of a block of buildings known as the Officers’ Housing, which is located southeast of the Panorama roundabout. This advancement is accompanied by counter attacks carried out by the “Islamic State” organization at night, exploiting the darkness to infiltrate the SDF-controlled areas, targeting them by booby-trapped vehicles and by group attacks. In some instances, they do manage to advance into some areas causing humans losses among the SDF, and the SDF, on their turn, succeed sometimes in repelling some attacks, causing human losses in the ranks of the organization.
