As a part of the continued escalation on the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and two days after a massacre there, air strikes leave casualties and wounded in Al-Mayadin city

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: On Friday the 28th of July 2017, violent explosions shook the town of Al-Mayadin in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights observed that warplanes which weren’t known whether they were Russian or related to the International Coalition, carried out 4 raids on the city. The first and second raids targeted Rawdat Al-Rihan and houses near Othman Ibn Affan Mosque, causing the death of a young man and injuring others, while the third raid targeted the area of Jerdaq  in the center of the city, which contains a yard where dozens of executions were carried out by the “Islamic State” organization previously, while the fourth raid targeted a house controlled previously by the “Islamic State” organization and it’s believed that the organization was taking it as a prison, where the strikes caused the death of a young man and the injury of several others.

Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented yesterday the killing of at least 2 members of the “Islamic State” organization as a result of targeting by a warplane whose identity was not known whether it was Russian or belong to the International Coalition, where the warplane targeted a car of the organization in al-Bukamal city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor yesterday, raising to at least 12, the number of people killed as a result of the aerial bombardment that targeted al-Bukamal area yesterday, and they are: 2 members of the “Islamic State” organization and 9 civilians, as well as a person of al-Baghuz village in the countryside of al-Bokamal, they were killed in bombing by warplanes whose identity was not known whether it was Russian or if they belong to the International Coalition.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a change earlier, through the exchange of roles between the Coalition and the Russians, where the forces of International Coalition have halted their raids on the eastern countryside of Raqqa and parts of the northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor, to be replaced by the Russian warplanes which have carried out tens of air raids targeting villages under the control the “Islamic State” organization in the southern bank of the Euphrates river, which extend from the east of Hwijat Shnan until the border with Deir Ezzor, since the 18th of July 2017, these raids have caused a massive displacement of tens of civilian families who were forced to flee as a result of the intensity of bombing and the constant destruction in the areas, under the pretext of “fighting the Islamic State organization”
