Regime forces intensify the shelling on Jobar and Ein Tarma and warplanes carry out about 20 raids on these two areas since today’s morning

Military operations are still ongoing in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the SOHR monitored that the violent clashes are still ongoing between fighters of al-Rahman Corps against the regime forces and their allied militiamen in areas in Ein Tarma Valley area and the vicinity of al-Motahalleq al-Janoub (the Southern Bypass) which separates between the east of the Capital Damascus and the western outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta, and the clashes are accompanied by heavy artillery and tanks shelling by the regime forces on the clashes areas, while warplanes carried out two raids targeting areas in Ein Tarma, rising to at least 18, the number of raids carried out by the warplanes since today’s morning on Ein Tarma town and its outskirts and Jobar neighborhood, while the regime forces shelled an areas in Mdira town in the eastern Ghouta, causing the death of a child and the injury of 3 others.

The SOHR published this morning that it observed this morning, Monday, the 7th of August 2017, that violent clashes broke out between the regime forces and their allied militiamen on one hand and Al-Rahman Corps on the other in areas in the vicinity of AlMotahalik AlJanobi (the Southern Bypass) that separates Jobar neighborhood and Ein Tarma area. Clashes coincided with others in Ein Tarma valley, amid the firing of more than 20 shells by the regime forces targeting areas in Ein Tarma town and at its outskirts. Meanwhile, warplanes carried out 12 raids on areas in the city and its surroundings along with 4 others on areas in Jobar neighborhood. 24 Missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground, were also launched on the area separating Jobar from Ein Tarma. No casualties have been reported so far. The regime forces fired 8 artillery shells at dawn today at the outskirts of Jobar neighborhood and areas in the vicinity of Ein Tarma town. The regime forces also targeted before midnight areas in Ein Tarma town and in its vicinity with 23 missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground. Moreover, they fired 4 artillery shells on the same areas, leaving 3 civilians injured. This was accompanied by clashes between the regime forces and their allied militiamen on one hand and Al-Rahman Corps on the other.
