The truce of the northern countryside of Homs is being violated by shelling by the regime forces and targeting by the factions

Homs Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The regime forces targeted areas in the villages of Snesel and Al Mahatta and the vicinity of Uyun Hussein village in the northern countryside of Homs, without any information about casualties, while the regime forces shelled

areas in the town of Al-Ghantu and the village of Al-Makramyah in the same countryside by several shells, followed by shelling by the factions on areas in the village of Jaborin controlled by the regime forces, recording new violations to the Egyptian-Russian truce which was put in effect at noon of the 3rd of August 2017, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Wednesday morning that calm continues to prevail in the de-escalation zones in the northern countryside of Homs as the truce holds on for the sixth day. The SOHR published yesterday that the Northern Homs truce continues to hold on for the sixth day since its implementation on the 3rd of August 2017. The SOHR did not document any violations by the regime or the factions on the sixth day of the truce, which came into effect by virtue of an agreement brokered by Russia and Egypt. The SOHR had also published on Tuesday morning that two civilians were injured as a result of the fall of several mortar shells that were fired by the regime forces after midnight on areas in Teirma’alah town in the northern countryside of Homs. Around 10 shells were also fired by the regime forces after midnight on areas in Talbeisah city in the northern countryside of Homs. No casualties were reported. This marked a new violation of the Egyptian-Russian truce that came into effect on the 3rd of August 2017.
