Tens of casualties and injured of displaced people in mines explosions during fleeing from Deir Ezzor to Hasaka

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that tens of citizens, including women and children, were killed in mines explosions planted earlier by the “Islamic State” organization on the roads linking Deir Ezzor to Hasaka, and reliable sources asserted to the SOHR that mines exploded in citizens near Abu Khashab area in the northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which is adjacent to the administrative border with Hasaka province, where the citizens were on their way to Hasaka city. The SOHR documented the death of at least 9 people, while the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured people in serious conditions, and the countryside of Deir Ezzor has been witnessing within the past weeks landmines explosions that were planted earlier by the organization, which caused the death and injury of tens of citizens.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored during the past weeks, the escalating pace of displacement of young men, men, and families from Deir Ezzor province towards other Syrian areas, to escape the recruitment in the ranks of the organization, which threatened those who won’t join its ranks, to be forcibly recruited. The SOHR learned that the “Islamic State” organization has been carrying out more arrests and detentions of tens of young men, as the displacement is still ongoing, where the residents of the organization-held areas are fleeing to other areas, as a result of the ongoing escalation of warplanes affiliated to the International Coalition and Russia, since the 22nd of May 2017, the date of the start of escalation of shelling on the countryside of Deir Ezzor, until they were shocked by decisions issued by the “Islamic State” about “compulsory recruitment” to increase their sufferings, and force the civilians to flee and survive another kind of death, in which civilians are walking to their death, this decision imposed by the organization on young men aged from 20 to 30 years, forces them to join the organization’s recruitment camps to get recruited in order to “rebel the Nusayri attacks against the protectors of the Islamic State in al-Khair State”, warning those who won’t join, to be forcibly recruited. Reliable sources asserted to the SOHR that the displaced people flee towards the countryside of Aleppo, Hasaka and al-Rakban.
