As a response to the mass executions of Sunni farmers in the countryside of Hama, Jaysh Al-Izza targets the town where the Alawite attackers come from

Reliable sources told the SOHR that Jaysh al-Izza, which is operating in the countryside of Hama, targeted Asila town, where the perpetrators of the massacre al-Hawat area come from, causing material damage, and no information about causalities so far, while the SOHR learned that a women, her son and his wife and 2 of her grandchildren, in addition to other 4 citizens from another family and another women, were among 11 civilian casualties, who were all killed in a massacre in Ma’rzaf town, which is controlled by the regime forces in the northwestern countryside of Hama, where the SOHR documented the death of 11 civilians, including 3 women and 2 children, who were killed in al-Hawat massacre carried out by militiamen loyal to the regime forces, as they executed  11 citizens of the residents of the area, and local sources asserted  that the attack on the area came after a body of a member of the intelligence services of the regime forces was found dead in the road between Asila and Hawa areas, and the regime forces accused the residents of al-Hawat of killing him.

This massacre created a state of tension among the people of al-Hawat area and the families of the Sunni victims, and also in the area where the Alawite attackers come from, amid resentment prevailing among the residents because of the massacre and the mass execution carried out by the militiamen loyal to the regime, with the absence of any strict reaction from the Syrian regime authorities and forces, while there are fears of escalation of tension that might be turned into a fight in the area located in the countryside of Muhradah northwest of Hama.
