Rahman Corps releases an officer of the regime forces for having “incurable disease” and get civilians out to receive treatment outside the besieged Ghouta

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that Rahman Corps which operates in the outskirts of the capital Damascus and its Eastern Ghouta, had released an officer in the ranks of the regime forces from his prison, allegedly for having an incurable disease, where he was released in exchange for the getting 5 ill people under the supervision of the Red Crescent outside the Eastern Ghouta to receive treatment, and the Syrian Observatory published earlier that a new release of abductees, prisoners and detainees held by an operating army in the Eastern Ghouta Information obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights about the release of 24 abductees and prisoners, including 4 children and 4 citizen women including 3 sisters, they were held by Jaysh al-Islam, in which they were released, while sources said that it is likely to be that the operation took place in return for the release of members and persons of who were demanded to release by Jaysh al-Islam, amid the silence by Jaysh al-Islam about the details of the operation till now, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 25th of August 2017 that the 50 captives and kidnapped released in the swap deal, which took place between the regime forces and Jaysh Al-Islam in Al-Wafdin Camp area- where the Russian forces are present at the outskirts of the Eastern Ghouta – included tens of children and women. Specifically, the SOHR learned that the regime forces handed over 36 captives and kidnapped, including 14 children and 10 women, who were arrested and kidnapped at various times in exchange for 13 captives and kidnapped by Jaysh Al-Islam, including 6 women and three officers, ranking colonel and first-lieutenant, along with other members of the regime forces. Those handed over by Jaysh Al-Islam were kidnapped and arrested at Adra Al-‘Omaliyah area in Rif Dimashq and at various battles.
