Regime forces manage to achieve new advancement in area about 50 kilometers away from Homs City

Homs Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the violent clashes are continuing between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on one hand, and the members of the “Islamic Stat” organization on the other, in Jib Al-Jarah – Sha’ir – Shomariyyeh Triangle, at a distance of about 50 km away from Homs city, follow the continuation of attacks by the regime forces since the 7th of September 2017, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed under a cover of intensive shelling to achieve new advancement in the area and take the control of two villages, thus, the number of villages that the regime forces managed to control during 48 hours after turning the battle field from the eastern countryside of Hama to Shomariyyeh – Sha’ir – Jib Al-Jarah Triangle, in the eastern countryside of Homs, has increased to 12 villages at least, and the SOHR documented yesterday the death of 26 fighters at least of the members of the organization, while 7 members at least of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them were killed in these clashes, in addition to the injury of tens others with varying degrees of severity.
