The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

The International Coalitions strikes kill 15 citizens most of them are from one family in the areas of “Jazeera Storm” Operation near Deir Ezzor city

Reliable sources reported the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that warplanes likely to related to the International Coalition, targeted the Shahabat area which is near Al-Salihiyah village in the east of the Euphrates River during the night, which resulted in the death and injury of a large number of people, and reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that these strikes killed 12 members of one family, including 3 adults citizen girls and 5 children, while the strikes caused wounded, some of them are from the same family, including children and citizen women, the death toll is still likely to rise due to the presence of injuries in serious cases,  and after this massacre the number of casualties who were killed last night and today dawn, has increased to 15 persons including 6 children and three citizen women, and they were the first casualties who died since the start of “Jazeera Storm” operation led by the Deir Ezzor Military Council supported by the US Special Forces and the YPG and the warplanes of the International Coalition, on the 9th of September 2017, which aims to control the east of the Euphrates River and the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah.

In the same context, the violent clashes are continuing between the Syria Democratic Forces against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in Al-Ma’aamel area in the north of Deir Ezzor city and in other areas in the vicinity of the train station and the Brigade 113, within the continuous attempts to achieve more advancement which met by repelling and violent resistance by the organization which carried out a chain of explosions by exploding booby trapped vehicles, targeting during the past 24 the positions which the forces of Deir Ezzor Military Council and its supported forces, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that  the clashes concentrate in the east of the Euphrates River, in the northern and the north-western countryside of Deir Ezzor, as a part of “Jazeera Storm” Operation which aims to take the control of  the east of the Euphrates River and the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, and cross sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the violent clashes concentrate at several kilo meters away from the eastern banks of the Euphrates River opposite Deir Ezzor city, as the SDF managed to advance and control Katebat Al-Niran and Jisr al-Khashab after they took the control of the train station and the Brigade 113 yesterday, while the clashes are continuing in Al-Ma’aamel area at a distance of about 8 km away from the eastern banks of the Euphrates River opposite the river, amid strikes carried out the International Coalition warplanes targeting the controlled areas of the organization and its positions.

The reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the “Islamic State” organization carried out consecutive counter attacks, in which it exploded 4 booby trapped vehicles, in an attempt to repel the advancement of Deir Ezzor Military Council in this area, while confirmed information was obtained about more casualties in the ranks of the both parties, thus, the numbers of vehicles exploded by the organization during the past 24 hours, and which targeted positions of the forces of “Jazeera Storm”, has increased to 7 vehicles, where the “Islamic State” organization carried out yesterday a series of suicide missions in the Industrial City and the road of Abu Khashab, where the “Islamic State” organization detonated 3 booby trapped vehicles in both areas, killing 5 fighters of “Jazeera Storm” Operation and injuring more than 20 others when the explosions took place, also the violent clashes continue are between the Industrial City and the nearby al-Ma’aamel area which is near the road of Deir Ezzor – al-Sor – Markadah; between members of the “Islamic State” organization against Syria Democratic Forces led by Deir Ezzor Military Council, accompanied by intense shelling and exchange of targeting between both parties.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the SDF managed to advance in the area, after it took the control of the Brigade 113 which is located between Al-Ma’aamel area and the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, and these clashes are considered the first real and the most violent between the both parties since the 9th of September 2017, and the clashes resulted in the fall the first casualties in the ranks of the both parties, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented that 4 fighters of the SDF were killed in the clashes, while confirmed information was reported about falling casualties of the members of ISIS in the intensive shelling and the clashes which accompanied them.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Monday that the clashes are concentrated in the vicinity of Ma’aamel area, while the SDF managed to control the train station and are still trying to make further advancement towards the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, which is opposite to the city, and if the SDF reached this area, they will be able to encircle hundreds of square kilometers of areas controlled by the organization near the eastern side of the Euphrates River, these forces were able to advance southeast of the areas they reach yesterday, and took control of the Brigade 113, which is about 6 km away of the banks of  Euphrates river south of al-Ma’aamel area.
