The massacres of Deir Ezzor kill 34 citizens including 15 children and result in a collective displacement of citizens to “secured” areas

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the numbers of casualties are still increasing, as a result of the continuous bombing by the warplanes and the regime forces on the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights earned that war planes believed to be Russian raided on Al-Bolail And Muhasan areas, during the past 24 hours, at the western banks of the Euphrates River, which resulted in the death of 8 citizens including 5 children, while warplanes believed to be Russian bombed Zughayr Jazeera village, in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor which resulted in the death of 9 citizens, as the strikes targeted ferries and boats during their travel between the banks of the river as well as other targets to the property of the citizens.

This shelling and the death of more citizens resulted in increasing the numbers if civilian casualties who were documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, of who it documented during the past 24 hours, in which the number of casualties who were killed by the artillery and aerial shelling on the western and the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor city, during the past 24 hours, has increased to 34 citizens at least including 15 children under the age of eighteen, and two citizen women, as the artillery shelling on Mazlum village resulted in the death of a woman and 3 of her children, and the bombing by warplanes believed to be Russian on Muhasan and Al-Bolail east of Deir Ezzor resulted in the death of 8 citizens including 5 children, while 9 citizens were killed by raids by warplanes believed to be Russian on Zughayr Jazeera village, and 4 citizens were killed by raids by warplanes believed to be related to the International Coalition on al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside, while a man and his wife and 7 of their children were killed by warplanes believed to be related to the International Coalition on Mahkan in the same countryside, and the death toll is still likely to rise because of the presence of tens of injuries some of them are still serious.

And with increasing the level of shelling and escalating its intensity, on the cities, the towns and the villages, displacement continues in Deir Ezzor countryside, were new families leave villages and houses, as a result of the escalation of the aerial and the ground shelling, heading to areas far from the shelling, where a lot of families headed to al-Mayadin area and other areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Saturday the 16th of September 2017, that the SOHR observed since the 22nd of May 2017, until the 16 September 2017, the death and injuries of citizens, and the SOHR understood, and after the role of killing and bombing turned from the International Coalition to Russia, which send their warplanes almost daily to shell the eastern and the western countryside of Deir Ezzer, and cause casualties, that the International Coalition, the Russian warplanes and the regime’s warplanes are alternating to kill citizens and carry out massacres against them in every place they go without deterrent, of ferries, camps, houses and vehicles.

In addition, the SOHR documented the death of 334 civilians, including 75 children below the age of eighteen and 69 women above the age of eighteen, following airstrikes carried out by the Russian and the regime’s warplanes on areas in Deir Ezzor city and other areas in the eastern and western countryside of the city, also hundreds of other citizens were injured and some of them have had permanent disability and deformation.
