Two successive massacres in the east of Deir Ezzor kill 48 persons and raise the death toll to 185 casualties during 6 consecutive days of the aerial escalation on the province

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: massacres are continuing to carried out against the citizens of Deir Ezzor province, of who were trying to leave and join more than 150 thousand other citizens, who displaced during the past few days, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the number of casualties whose death was documented by the SOHR, and who were killed as a result of the raids which carried out by warplanes believed to be Russian, on the area of the river crossing between Al-Asharah town on the western bank of the Euphrates River, and Al-Drinj village on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, has increased to at least 9 children and 12 citizen women over the age of eighteen, including 8 Iraqi refugees, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of injuries in serious cases, in addition to the presence of missing people.

This massacre coincide with another massacre carried out by warplanes believed to be Russian, in Al-Quriyah town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which resulted in the death of 10 citizens, as well as the death of a citizen by bombing by warplanes on the river crossing between Al-Mayadin city and Diban town, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of injuries in serious cases.

Thus, the death toll increases to 185 persons at least including 45 children and 46 citizen woman, of who have been killed in the bombing, since the dawn of Friday the 29th of September 2017 until the 4th of October 2017, as a result of the bombing on Deir Ezzor province, the intensive raids also left tens of injuries, some of them are still in serious condition, in which the number of the air strikes exceeded 1220 strikes of which carried out by the Russian as well as the regime’s warplanes and helicopters, while the intensive raids resulted in the displacement of 100 thousand citizens from the villages extended from Al-Bomar town to Al-Bokamal and Al-Mayadin cities, including tens of thousands of children and citizen women, who left their houses in their villages, towns and cities, heading to Deir Ezzor desert, avoiding the intensive bombing accompanies by the Russian supported operations of the regime forces in Deir Ezzor, and “Al-Jazeera Storm” operation backed by the International Coalition, which were accompanied by the displacement of about 50 thousand citizens from the villages and the towns of Hatla, Al-Salihiyah, Marrat, Mazlum, Khesham, Tabyat Jazeera, Jadeed Bakkara, Jadeed Ekaydat, Al-Dahlah and Al-Sabha, in the eastern banks of  the Euphrates River to areas far from the shelling and the clashes and before the start of the regime’s military operation, which aims to advance into the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and Al-Mayadin city.
