Avoiding entering a lost battle in Al-Mayadin…the regime forces wrap around the capital of “Al-Khair State” advancing to Mahkan desert in the east of it and shelling the east of the Euphrates River violently

After about 72 hours of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities were expelled by the organization out of Al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and which the “Islamic State” organization took as the capital of “Al-Khair State”, the clashes returned again to areas near the desert of Al-Mayadin city, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces wrapped around Al-Mayadin city from the western side and advanced towards Mahkan desert in the east of Al-Mayadin city, on the western banks of the Euphrates River.

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the regime forces and after their failure to achieve advancement in Al-Mayadin city and although they entered the western section of the city, and then they were expelled out of the city after 48 hours, and forcing them to withdraw to the eastern desert of Deir Ezzor after killing about 40 members of them, they are trying to save their face and not to show their weakness for the public, the local and the international opinion and their allies, by entering a long battle that they may not be able to won, so they turned to widen the area that they intended to encircle form three directions and to leave only one open, to force the organization to withdraw from the east of Deir Ezzor city to Mahkan area in the east of Al-Mayadin, towards the eastern banks of the Euphrates River in the extended area, in which the clashes are taking place against he Syria Democratic Forces which lead “Al-Jazeera Storm” Operation,

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the Wednesday the 11th of October 2017, intensive shelling by the regime forces which are located in Mahkan desert, which targeted by artillery and rocket shells, areas in Al-Mayadin city and the towns of Mahkan, Al-Quriyah, Al-Asharah, Subakhan and Dablan in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and no information about casualties was reported yet, in conjunction with raids by warplanes on areas in Al-Mayadin and Mahkan, Subakhan and Al-Quriyah, while this bombing is accompanied by raids by the Russian warplanes as well as regime’s warplanes on areas in the vicinity of Hatla, on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, opposite Deir Ezzor city, in conjunction with the continuation of the violent clashes between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in which the regime forces are clamping down on the organization in Deir Ezzor city and the opposite banks of the river, by advancing in the area.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, that the regime forces managed to achieve new advancement in the area and widen the area of their control on the eastern banks of the river, opposite the city and its military airbase, in an attempt to impose their control on the whole eastern bank opposite the city, and this advancement is accompanied by intensive shelling by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, and raids by the warplanes, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also monitored that if the regime forces hold their control on the area, they will manage to monitor the controlled areas of the organization inside of the city in Jadeed area, and they will also clamp down on the organization inside Deir Ezzor city, and the violent fighting in this area, is still continuing between the both parties, in which ISIS turned to carry out counter attacks and explosions, in an attempt to recover what they lost and stop the regime forces in order not to clamp down on it inside Deir Ezzor city, while the clashes caused confirmed human losses in ranks of the both parties, and It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 28th of September 2017, that the regime forces managed to advance and completed to control parts of Deir Ezzor – Al-Busayrah Road on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, this important advancement by the regime forces enabled them to complete to encircle and impose full siege on the “Islamic State” organization in Deir Ezzor city as well as besieging it in Al-Husseiniyah village and the rest of the areas on the eastern banks opposite Deir Ezzor city, where the organization is besieged in the area by the regime forces and the Syria Democratic Forces.
