Continuous clashes for the second consecutive day in Deir Ezzor city of which the regime forces control more than 81% of

Deir Ezzor Province, the Syrian Observatory for human Rights: warplanes renewed the bombardment on areas in al- Quriyah town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and no information about casualties until the moment, also the regime forces continue their attack on positions of the ” Islamic State” organization in neighborhoods of Al-Rasafa and Al-Ommal in Deir Ezzor city, amid confirmed information about more advancement for the regime forces, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that it monitored that the regime forces started a violent attack, in the city, and the attack concentrated on Al-Rasafa, Al-Ommal and al-Sena’aa neighborhoods, as the regime forces are seeking to end the presence of the organization inside the neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city, after they managed to impose a full siege over the controlled areas of ISIS in the city from the four directions.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces managed, under a cover of intensive and violent shelling, to achieve great advancement in Al-Rasafa, Al-Ommal and al-Sena’aa neighborhoods, and take the control of varying areas of the three neighborhoods, which resulted in minimizing ISIS scope of control, in which the regime forces have imposed their control on about 81% of the area of Deir Ezzor city, as the controlled area of the regime forces has extended since the managed in the 10th of September 2017, to open the main road coming from Damascus, and the operation of lifting the siege was carried out on 3 stages the first was to lift the siege on the Brigade 137, then lifting the siege of Deir Ezzor Military Airport and the bloc of neighborhoods related to it, and the third stage was to reach the western entrance of Deir Ezzor city at the area of Panorama area after taking the control of Damascus – Deir Ezzor road.

And this advancement coincides with taking the control of Al-Husseiniya village by the regime forces which tighten their grip even more on the eastern banks of Euphrates opposite to Deir Ezzor city, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 14th of October 2017, that the regime forces are resuming their advancement imposing the siege on ISIS which is still located in Deir Ezzor city, and controls a number of neighborhoods there, while the SOHR monitored that the regime forces managed to achieve new advancement and block the corridor between the eastern and the north-western countryside of Deir Ezzor at the eastern banks of the river, which goes through the controlled areas of the regime forces and the controlled areas of the Syria Democratic Forces.
