Terrifying increase of the casualties number in Al-Qaryatayn city during the 20 days of imposing groups of ISIS their control over the city

128 persons at least were executed and killed after ISIS managed to infiltrate deep into the controlled areas of the regime forces

The numbers of casualties is continuing to increase in Al-Qaryatayn city, of who were killed during 20 days of imposing the control of the “Islamic State” organization over the city which is located in the south-eastern desert of Homs city, in which it has raised to 128 persons at least whose death has been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights of who were killed in Al-Qaryatayn city, and the SOHR learned that the majority of them were executed by ISIS on charge of ” communication and espionage in favor of the regime forces”, while there is information about more missing people of whose fate is unknown, whether they were killed by the organization or managed to hide during the period of the organization’s control over the city which limited from the time when the organization infiltrated to the city on the first of October 2017, until they withdrew at night of the 20th of October 2017.

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that 83 persons at least of the total death toll, were killed during the last 48 hours of the presence of the organization in Al-Qaryatayn city before it withdrew, while 12 casualties of the total death toll, suggested to be killed by the regime forces while they were retaking the control of the city, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also learned from several reliable sources that most of the members who take the control of Al-Qaryatayn city were sons of the city and existed there as dormant cells of the organization, except the groups that attacked it from outside.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 21st of October 2017, that the regime forces were able to control after the withdrawal of members of the “Islamic State” organization and the surrender of a small group of them, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the withdrawal of about 200 members towards the desert, as the SOHR received information from several cross sources that a passage was opened for members of ISIS to leave the city towards the organization-held areas in the Syrian desert last night.
