Tens of casualties in a booby trapped explosion at a gathering of displaced people at the eastern banks of Euphrates River

Violent explosions were heard in the area between Koniko gas field and al-Jafra fields at the eastern banks of Euphrates River, it turned out that they were caused by detonating at least one booby trapped vehicle by the “Islamic State” organization in an area where displaced people gathered, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the explosion has killed tens of people until now, in addition to injuring a large number of others with varying severity, it is noteworthy that a similar explosion took place on the 12th of October 2017, it also targeted a gathering of displaced persons and, where the Syrian Observatory published at back then that 18 people at least were killed, they were civilian displaced people from Deir Ezzor province and members of the Internal Kurdish Security Forces “Asayish”, they were killed when a member of the “Islamic State” organization detonated himself in a gathering of displaced people in Abu Fas area south of Al-Hasakah province at the administrative borders of Deir Ezzor province.
