Violent fighting in Jobar neighborhood and shells target areas in the capital Damascus for the third consecutive day

Damascus Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: violent clashes are taking place between the fighters of Al-Rahman Corps against the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them in areas in Jobar neighborhood in the eastern outskirts of the capital Damascus, in which the clashes are concentrated in the outskirts and the area of Al-Manasher inside the neighborhood, amid exchange of targeting in the clash areas between the both parties, and information about casualties in their ranks, while explosions were heard today in the outskirts of the capital, caused by the fall of shells on areas in al-Dwel’aa neighborhood and other places in the outskirts of the capital, which caused material damage, without information about casualties, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published during the past 48 hours, that shells targeted areas in Al-Assad Suburb which is controlled by the regime forces and opposite to Harasta city east of the capital, which caused material damage, and explosion shook areas in the outskirts of the capital Damascus, caused by the fall of shells targeted places in Jaramana area, which caused material damage, and information about the injuries, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the fall of shells on places in Dwel’aa area  and on places in al-Swiqa area which killed a person and wounded several others, also the shells fell on other places in the areas of al-Fahhama and Khalid Bin al-Walid Street, and on other areas in the Old Damascus and Esh al-Warwar, killing a child and injuring 8 others with varying severity, thus, the number of casualties who were killed during the past 48 hours in the capital, has increased to 12 persons including a prominent karate trainer, while the number of wounded who were injured in the same period, as a result of the fall of shells on Al-Zabaltani area, Al-Abasyeen area, Al-Swiqa neighborhood, Sabaa Bahrat area, Esh Al-Werwer neighborhood, and other areas in  the Old Damascus and Dwel’aa as well as other places in the middle of the capital, has increased to 60 persons at least.
