The residents and displaced people of Deir Ezzor are angry because of acts of the Military Council operating within the SDF along with the SDF and ongoing battles and their advancement on the Euphrates banks

Deir Ezzor province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the SOHR learned that a state of anger prevails in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor among the displaced and the people living in areas controlled by “Al-Jazeera Storm” Operation Forces, and this state of anger comes after accusations of stealing money and jewelry belong to the citizens on the checkpoints of the forces of the Military Council of Deir Ezzor, operating under the umbrella of the SDF. The displaced and the people also accused them of stealing their houses and electronic devices they have. The people called for holding the perpetrators accountable for their acts and returning their belongings to them, and not repeating these acts against the displaced and homeless people of Deir Ezzor province.

This state of anger is accompanied by ongoing and violent clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces against the “Islamic State” organization on the eastern banks of the Euphrates River. The SOHR learned that the violent clashes are concentrated in the outskirts of Al-Jarzi Al-Gharbi village, after the SDF managed to expand their areas of control since the 11th of November until today the 18th of November, where they controlled the entire areas extending from Al-Basira to the outskirts of Al-Jarzai Al-Gharbi village, that includes the villages and towns of Al-Basira, Abriha, Al-Shuhail, Al-Hawaij, Theban, Al-Tayyana, Al-Shannan, Swaidan Jazira, and Darnaj, and the SDF have become less than 50 km away from Al-Bokamal near the Syrian – Iraqi borders, on the western banks of the Euphrates River, coming from Al-Basira east of the Euphrates. The SDF are less than 20 km away from Al-Bokmal city from the area of Al-Kashma field.

The SOHR learned that members of ISIS carried out a repel attack against the SDF in Al-Kasha field and Al-Tanak field, in an attempt to inflict human losses in their ranks and delay their advancement towards the eastern banks of the Euphrates River near Al-Kashma area. The attack caused confirmed human losses in the ranks of both parties.
