After holding their control over Al-Bokamal city…the regime forces and their allied start the last stage of ending the presence of ISIS in the west of the Euphrates River
About 235 casualties of the regime forces and their allied forces and the organization during 5 days of the fiercest battles in Deir Ezzor province and Syria
Before passing 48 hours of imposing the control by the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian, Afghan and Palestinian nationalities over Al-Bokamal city which is near the Syrian – Iraqi border, on the western banks of the Euphrates River, these forces started military operations target the areas that are still controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The regime forces that hold their control over Al-Bokamal city, with the support of the Lebanese Hezbollah, the Revolutionary Iranian Guards, the Afghan Liwa Fatemiyoun, Al-Nujaba’ Iraqi Movement, the Iraqi Hezbollah and militiamen of Palestinian and Syrian nationalities, aimed previously and before they took the control of last city of the organization in Syria, to achieve advancement through the desert adjacent the Euphrates River, and the villages spread along the western bank, in which they controlled more than the area that used to be controlled by ISIS between Al-Mayadin and Al-Bokamal, then they aimed during the past 48 hours to advance and take the control of Al-Salhiya and al-Kashmeh towns and the area between them including al-Dwayr area and al-Ward oilfield, and this area divided into two parts one of them is besieged, it is the are extended from the west of al-Kashmeh “Teshreen” to the east of Mahkan including Sbikhan, al-Asharah and al-Quriyah, and the other part is the area extended from the east of Al-Salhiya to al-Ashayer area in Al-Bokamal, including 5 towns as well as residential communities and farms extended along the western bank of the Euphrates River in the area mentioned above.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces started yesterday, Monday the 20th of November 2017, to carry out their attack backed by militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian and Asian nationalities, in order to end the presence of the “Islamic State” organization completely from the west of the Euphrates River, as well as the western banks of it, as only 8 villages are left for the regime forces to take the control of the entire area, in which the advancement and the attacks supported by the regime’s artillery, missile launchers and mortar cannons, as well as the support of warplanes and helicopters affiliated to the regime and Russia.
The operation of controlling Al-Bokamal city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, caused large number of human losses in the ranks of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them as well as their allied forces, in which the number of casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, has increased to 109 members at least, including 44 Syrian members, and 15 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah, while the rest members are of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces and the Revolutionary Iranian Guards, Liwa Fatemiyoun, Al-Nujaba’ Movement, the Iraqi Hezbollah including a prominent officer in the Revolutionary Iranian Guards, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received confirmed information about the death of at least 30 others of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces in clashes in the vicinity of Al-Bokamal city, while there is information about the death of other members in the same clashes, and the casualties of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities who were killed during the past 5 days in Al-Bokamal and its vicinity, has increased to 95 members, it is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Sunday the 19th of November 2017, that it monitored that the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian nationality, the Lebanese Hezbollah, the Iraqi Nujabaa Movement and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard start sweeping al-Bokamal city which they managed to control after the withdrawal of the remaining members of the “Islamic State” organization from the last city they used to control in Syria, this control came after violent clashes that killed and injured tens of both parties during the past 3 days, where the regime forces were able to enter the city on Thursday the 16th of November 2017; after the organization’s expel of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, by counterattacks that targeted them inside the city.
