The regime forces and allied forces achieve a significant advancement on the banks of the Euphrates River and reduce the control of the “Islamic State” organization east of Deir Ezzor

With the completion of the first 24 hours of the final phase to end the existence of the “Islamic State” organization west of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor by the regime forces and allied forces, they achieve an important advancement under a fire cover of intensive artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces, and raids carried out by Russian and regime’s warplanes, the advancement was concentrated in the area between Salhiya area and Bokamal city, which are controlled by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syria and non-Syria nationalities, where the area in the west of Euphrates River consists of 2 sections, one of them is besieged and it is the area stretching from the west of al-Kashmeh “October” until the east of Mahkan, which includes al-Quriyah, Al-al-Asharah and Sbikhan, and the other section stretches from the east of Salhiya until al-Ashayer area in al-Bokamal, which includes 5 towns plus a residential gatherings and farms all along the west bank of Euphrates River in the aforementioned area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on Tuesday the 21st of November 2017 that the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Iraqi, Lebanese and Asian nationalities, were able to achieve an important advancement, by advancing in Salhiya town, and controlling areas on the west bank of Euphrates River, until controlling the important town of al-Jala’a, the distance of advancement reached about 14 km from Salhiya town to the east of al-Jala’a town, reducing the distance that the organization is still controlling in the west banks of Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor to about 11 km; between the west of Bokamal city and east of al-Jala’a town, in addition to a besieged area from Sbikhan to the east of Mahkan, which includes al-Asharah, al-Quriyah, Sbikhan and others areas, where the regime forces are trying to control these two areas, which will allow them and their allies to control the entire west of Euphrates banks, and end of the existence of the “Islamic State” organization. These advancement operations are accompanied by exchange of shelling in clashes areas between both parties, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring published this morning that Before passing 48 hours of imposing the control by the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian, Afghan and Palestinian nationalities over Al-Bokamal city which is near the Syrian – Iraqi border, on the western banks of the Euphrates River, these forces started military operations target the areas that are still controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The regime forces that hold their control over Al-Bokamal city, with the support of the Lebanese Hezbollah, the Revolutionary Iranian Guards, the Afghan Liwa Fatemiyoun, Al-Nujaba’ Iraqi Movement, the Iraqi Hezbollah and militiamen of Palestinian and Syrian nationalities, aimed previously and before they took the control of last city of the organization in Syria, to achieve advancement through the desert adjacent the Euphrates River, and the villages spread along the western bank, in which they controlled more than the area that used to be controlled by ISIS between Al-Mayadin and Al-Bokamal
