Al-Shafa massacre kills 34 citizens including 22 children and citizen women and raises the number of the casualties of Deir Ezzor to 1000 persons during about 80 days of shelling

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the number of casualties who were killed by the massacre of the east of the Euphrates River is increasing, with the death of more citizens who have been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, in which the SOHR has documented 34 civilian casualties at least including 15 children under the age of eighteen, 7 citizen women over the age of eighteen, due to a massacre carried out by warplanes believed to be Russian, by targeting areas in al-Shafa town in the east of the Euphrates River, while the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, as well as the presence of missing as a result of these raids, thus, the number of casualties whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory, has increased to 66 persons at least including 30 children and citizen women they are: 34 citizens including 15 children and 7 citizen women who were killed by raids during the past 72 hours, on the controlled areas of the organization in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, they are: the casualties who were killed in Al-Shafa massacre in addition to 17 casualties at least including 8 children and citizen women including a citizen woman and her children they were killed by bombardment by warplanes believed to be Russian targeted an area of a camp of displaced people in the desert of Al-Syal village in the countryside of Al-Bukamal in one of the last pockets remaining under the control of ISIS west of the Euphrates, and 11 citizens including a doctor, a child and 4 citizen women were killed as a result of bombardment by warplanes believed to be related to the International Coalition on Darnaj village, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.

Thus, the death toll has increased to at least 987, including 392 children and women, the number of those who have been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since the 10th of September 2017, the date of lifting the siege on their controlled areas in Deir Ezzor city, until today the 26th of November 2017, date of last stage of ending the presence of the organization west of the Euphrates River, they are 653 citizens including 136 children and 126 women, were killed by raids by the regime’s warplanes and helicopters as well as the Russian warplanes on Deir Ezzor city and its eastern and western countryside and areas in the east of the Euphrates River, and 46 citizens including 14 children and 8 women were killed by shelling by the regime forces on areas in Deir Ezzor and its eastern countryside, and 39 citizens including 4 children and 6 women, were killed as a result of executing and shooting them by the regime forces in Deir Ezzor and its vicinity and the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, and 197 citizens including 51 children and 27 women were killed by raids by the International Coalition warplanes on the eastern and the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and 26 citizens including 15 children and 5 women were killed in missile and artillery shelling, which are fired by the Iraqi Popular Mobilization according to sources, this bombing resulted in great destruction in the infrastructure and the property of the citizens, and caused a large number of wounded, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the injury of about 2540 persons with varying degrees of severity, some of them have amputated limbs and permanent disabilities, while there are a number of missing whose fate is unknown till now, while some injures have been seriously wounded, which may raise the death toll.
