After its control has been confined to only 3% of the Syrian territory…ISIS burns a Syrian pilot and slaughters about 13 others in an attempt to “raise the morale of its supporters”

The “Islamic State” organization carried out executions against about 15 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them in a new video published by the organization, in which this video came as an attempt to raise the morale of the organization’s supporters, after ISIS lost its presence in the Syria almost completely, and turned from an organization that used to control more than half of the Syrian territory, to an organization that defends its presence in an area of 3% of the geographic area of Syria, with an area of about 5600 square km of the Syrian territory, and the video included 3 groups of executions against Syrian members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them including one officer pilot, and against an Iraqi member of the gunmen loyal to the regime forces in the Syrian Desert.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored burning a Syrian pilot called Captain Azzam Eid, who the SOHR documented the drop of his plane on the 22nd of April 2016, in Tal Dakweh area in southeast of Rif Dimashq, and the SHOR also documented that he was captured then, by the organization which was presented in this area, before ISIS lost it, in which the organization tied the officer who the organization said in its video that he is of the “Isma’ilism”, after he was dressed in “the orange costume”, and he was set on fire and left until he died, while a mass execution was carried out against about 10 persons dressed in the military uniform of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, by slaughtering and beheading them, then their heads were thrown off high place and left rolling in the place of the execution.

And in this video, the organization executed 3 members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them including an Iraqi fighter, after the captives expressed their resentment due to the exchange of the bodies of the Iranian members, while they were left to face their fate, and one of them said that “they will never exchange even shoes with us”, then they were shot after they had forced to dig a mass grave for themselves.

It is noteworthy that this is the fourth public execution by burning by the organization to be carried out in the Syrian territory, in which the “Islamic State” organization carried out an execution by “burning” against two soldiers from the Turkish Forces, in the middle of December 2016, they gone missing and the contact with them were lost in late November 2016, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the two soldiers of the Turkish forces that support the rebel and Islamic factions of “Euphrates Shield” operation, had been missing in Dana area northwest of al-Bab city, and ISIS also published a video in the beginning of February 2015 shows the execution against the Jordanian pilot Muath Al-Kasasbeh by burning him, after he was captured during air strikes by the International Coalition’s warplanes, that targeted the controlled areas of ISIS in Al-Raqqah.
