Ongoing battles in the east of the Euphrates in an attempt by “Al-Jazeera Storm” Operation Forces to control two towns and a village on the banks of the river

Deir Ezzor province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: areas of Abu Hamam and al-Kashkiya towns, which are located at the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, in the eastern part of Deir Ezzor province, witnessed airstrikes on areas in both towns, in conjunction with clashes between ISIS and the SDF backed by warplanes of the International Coalition and Russia, within the ongoing operation of the SDF, since the first of December 2017 to control these two towns, and clashes are also taking place both parties in the outskirts of the village of Suidan Jazira in the village, and there is information that they controlled large partis of it, and the clashes are accompained by aerial and artillery shelling and an exchange of targeting between both parties.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published less than 24 hours ago that it monitored the violent clashes in the towns of Abu Hamam and al-Kashkiyyeh; between members of the Syria Democratic Forces supported by warplanes of the International Coalition and the recently-joined Russian warplanes to support “Jazeera Storm” Operation east of the Euphrates, against members of the “Islamic State” organization, in an attempt by the Syria Democratic Forces to control the entire villages and towns remaining east of Euphrates River.

These clashes come in conjunction with the completely-false news broadcast by regime’s media, its pro media and the Russian media, about ending the existence of the “Islamic State” organization on the entire both banks of the Euphrates River, where 18 towns and villages are still under the control the “Islamic State” organization stretching from Darnaj village to the Syrian-Iraqi border along the eastern banks of the Euphrates River, which are the villages and towns of Darnaj, Swidan Jazira, al-Jerthi, Abu Hardoub, al-Kashkiyyeh, Abu Hamam, Gharanij, Hadlah, al-Bahra, Hajin, Abu al-Khatir, Abu al-Hasan, Shafa, Susah, al-Marashdah, al-Shajla , al-Kashkiyyeh and al-Baghuz, the amount of control the “Islamic State” organization has in Deir Ezzor Province is about 8% of the province’s area, of which the Syria Democratic Forces are trying to control, also there is still an area in the northeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which is connected with what is left for the organization in the southern countryside of Al-Hasaka Province.
