Shelling by the factions on a town controlled by an army swore Allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization in Yarmouk Basin

Daraa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the body of a fighter of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham was found on the road between Rakham and Al-Mulayha Al-Gharbiya towns in the eastern countryside of Daraa, and no information was reported yet about the circumstances on his death, while the rebel and Islamic factions fired several shells this morning on places in the southern neighborhood of Saham al-Golan town controlled by Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization in the area of Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, and the fronts of Yarmouk Basin witnesses a similar operation almost daily since the last battle between the both parties which took place on the 24th of October 2017, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published at that time, that violent clashes are taking place in Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa, between Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions against Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the clashes are concentrating in the vicinity of Jilin and Tell Ashtara, following an attack by the factions on the positions of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, after a preparation of intensive rocket shelling by tens of shells since this morning, in which activists in the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the factions targeted by more than 120 shells the controlled areas of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed in the western countryside since this morning, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning, that the rebel and Islamic factions has been targeting since this morning the controlled areas of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed which pledges allegiance to ISIS by shells in the area of Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, amid exchange of targeting between the both parties by heavy and medium machineguns, in conjunction with the flight of a scouting plane over the area.

 

It is noteworthy that Israeli warplanes targeted yesterday Saham Al-Golan town which is controlled by Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that at least 12 persons were killed in the Israeli strikes that targeted Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: at least 10 members and leaders of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid were killed in the bombardment of Israeli warplanes on headquarters of Jaysh Khalid Ibn al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization in Saham al-Golan town including 4 commanders, while two women of members of the “Islamic State” organization were killed in the same bombardment and others were injured, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation and due to information about other casualties in the same bombardment.

 

It is noteworthy that Jaysh Khaled Ibn al-Waleed, which pledges allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, controls an area of about 250 square kilometers, which is about 0.13 percent of the area of the Syrian territory and the Jaysh exist in Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa, which is adjacent to the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 17th of August 2017 that  the number increased to 28 persons at least, of who were killed and were documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, as a result of strikes carried out by warplanes were not known whether they were Israeli or related to the International Coalition, as 16 members at least were killed of the army loyal to the organization, including 7 military and security leaders, including the commander of Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed, while 12 prisoners at least were killed in the court building, most of them were relatives of Abu Ali Al-Baredy known as “Al-Khal” The founder of Shohadaa Al-Yarmouk Brigade which changed into Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed later, in which the majority of the prisoners were arrested on charges of “storing weapons after the death of Al-Bridi by an explosion targeted him and leaders and other elements of the brigade in mid-November 2015”, the strikes also resulted in many injuries, as the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of injuries in serious cases and the presence of missing persons whose fate is not known yet, while reliable sources told SOHR that Jaysh Khaled Ibn Al-Waleed appointed a new leader after the death of the third leader in the air strikes during about 10 weeks, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also published at the end of June 2017 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by reliable sources that a warplane (which is still unknown whether it belongs to an Arab country or the International Coalition) targeted today a meeting of the first class leadership of Khalid Ibn al-Walid, of which Shuhada’a al-Yarmouk Brigade is its mainstay, in addition to the Islamic Muthanna movement, in Jellin town in the western countryside of Daraa city, where reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that the commander-in-chief of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid was killed with 3 sharia men and another prominent military commander and another commander, plus 4 members at least, the targeting also injured several others including commanders and Sharia men, which may raise in the death toll. in the same context, SOHR received confirmed information that Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid has appointed a new leader, it is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 7th of June 2017 that airstrikes were carried out by unidentified warplanes (it is not known whether they belong to the International Coalition or not) on Jomla area adjacent to the border with the occupied Syrian Golan, and on other places at Yarmouk valley in the western countryside of Daraa, killing and injuring tens of commanders and members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid which swore allegiance to the “Islamic State” organization, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, these warplanes targeted shortly before the midnight of Tuesday sites of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid in Jomla area and areas close to it in the Yarmouk valley, which injured and killed tens of members, at least 12 of them were confirmed of the commanders and members of Jaysh Khalid Ibn Al-Walid which swore allegiance to the organization.
