More officers and members of the regime forces are killed rising to 140 members and fighters of the factions and the regime forces who were killed in the vicinity of Vehicle Department and Harasta

Rif Dimashq province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus have been targeted by the regime forces by shells of artillery and missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground, where they targeted areas in the cities of Harasta and Arbin, while drones fired several bombs at areas in the outskirts of Arbin city, which resulted in the injury of a person, in conjunction with clashes taking place between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham, Al-Rahman Corps, and Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement, in areas in the vicinity of Vehicle Department and near the province building. The clashes and exchange of targeting between both parties during the day time, resulted in the death of a brigadier officer and 3 other members, rising to at least 57 members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen, including 7 officers at least including 5 brigadiers, who were killed in shelling and clashes in the Eastern Ghouta since the 29th of December 2017, while it rose to at least 80, the number of fighters of Hayaat Tahrir al-Sham, Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement, Al-Rahman Corps, who were killed in the fronts of Vehicle Department, Province Building, and Air Intelligence vicinity, including fighter of Saudi nationality who blew himself up in a booby trapped vehicle on the first day of the attack, which led to the siege of the Vehicle Department, and the SOHR documented human losses of both parties on the front of Al-Marj area where 2 fighters of Jaysh Al-Islam were killed in shelling and clashes in Al-Marj area, during the fight against the regime forces and their allied militiamen, the same clashes where 17 members of the regime forces were killed, also tens of both parties were injured. The SOHR published hours ago that a state of calm prevails in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus after series of heavy artillery, missile and aerial shelling that targeted areas in the Eastern Ghouta today the Saturday 6th of January 2018, where the besieged cities, towns and villages of the Eastern Ghouta and the clash area between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement and Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham and Al-Rahman Corps are witnessing an exchange of targeting between them from time to another. The calm came after a massacre in Hamuriya city and aerial shelling on other areas leaving people killed and injured.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago at least 17  people were killed at least including 2 children and 3 citizen women,  the number of persons who were killed today in the raids that targeted Hammuriyya, Arbin city and Madyara town which are controlled by Rahman Corps, the casualties are: 12 persons including 2 children and 3 citizen women were killed in the massacre of Hammuriyya city, and 3 citizens were killed in raids on areas in Arbin city, and 2 citizens were killed in raids on Madyara town, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, and also due to the presence of missing persons, where the warplanes carried out this afternoon 2 raids targeting areas in Mesraba town, which is under the control of Jaysh al-Islam, and injured about 15 civilians including children and female citizens, while 10 citizens were wounded by the fall of a missile believed to be ground-to-ground launched by the regime forces on Harasta city, also warplanes targeted areas in Zamalka and the outskirts of Ein Tarma from the side of Jobar causing material damage, but no information about casualties. Thus, the total death toll has increased to 96 citizens including 20 children and 20 citizen women, all of them were in the period between the 29th of December 2017 and until now the 6th of January 2018, and the casualties are: 71 citizens including 16 children, 19 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and in raids on Madyara town, and 25 citizens including 5 children, 3 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling that targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah and Otaya, and the aerial and artillery shelling have left tens of casualties and wounded included a large number of children and citizen women, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of people with serious injuries.
