The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

After 14 days of continuous advancement and controlling about 64 towns and villages, the regime forces reach the administrative border with Aleppo Province and caused the displacement of more than 70000 people

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring a massive displacement in the past 24 hours from the villages of countryside of Sinjar as well as the villages of countryside of Abu Al-Duhur; towards areas in the center and north of Idlib Province, and intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that more than 70000 civilians have been displaced from their villages located along the administrative border with Aleppo and from other villages in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and this displacement comes with a constant advancement by the regime forces since the hours of last night, where the regime forces managed to control Sinjar town and the villages of Ramleh, Nabbaz Qebli, Nabbaz Shamali, Jadidah, Sraa’, Srie’, al-Khyara, al-Motawassita and Kfraya, and thus, the regime forces became about 14 km away of Abu Al-Duhur airbase, and now they become on the administrative border with the southern countryside of Aleppo, after controlling 64 villages and towns in the southeastern and eastern countryside of Idlib in 2 consecutive weeks.

This advancement towards the administrative borders of Aleppo Province comes after failure of the regime forces and their allies of Lebanese Hezbollah, Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the gunmen loyal to the regime of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities; to control the southern countryside of Aleppo and advance within it since the beginning of their operations on the 2nd of November 2017, where they intended to reach Abu Al-Duhur airbase and control it, but they failed to do so and only advanced in a few villages, where violent clashes took place during which Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and its supporting factions were able to repel the advancement of the regime forces in this area.

This advancement was accompanied by intense raids carried out by squadrons of helicopters and warplanes which bombed the areas of Abu Al-Duhur, Sinjar, Abou Makki, al-Haraki, Jarjanaz, Tal Krasyan, Tal Debs, Tal al-Toqan, al-Sarman, al-Ghadqa, al-Tamanah, Kafrnebbul and other areas in the eastern, southern and southeastern countryside of Idlib. This advancement by the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them has expanded their control and to 103 towns, villages and areas at least during about 11 weeks of clash that started on the 22nd of October 2017, they are: “Nabbaz Qebli, Nabbaz Shamali, Jadidah, Sraa’, Srie’, al-Khyara, al-Motawassita and Kfraya, Sinjar, Sarja Sharqiya, Um Al-Halalil, Um Mwailat, Al-Sheikh Baraka, Hawa, Tel Amara, Al-Lubaida Al-Sharqia, Al-Nasriya, Fahil, Jalas, Um Rajm, Al-Niha, Tel Umm Al-Khalakhil, , Mushyrifa Al-Gooan, Um Sahrij and its station, Al-Daribiya, Mushrifa Shamaliya, Al-Lwaibda, Rasm Al-abd, Swairat, Shakfa, Um Rajm, Fahil Jalas, Rabia Mousa, Al-Hakiya, Al-Qasr Al-Abyad, Al-Hamdiniya and its stations, Al-Nasriya, Abu Omar, Tel Marq, Atshan, Tel Zaater, Al-Gadoia, Al-Salumiya, Al-Khawin, Al-Zaror, Sham Al-Hawa, Um Al-Khalkhil, Qbibat Um Al-Huda, Tel Aswad Ras Al-ain, Tel Tawila Mahmoud, Umm Haratin, Tel Al-Maktaa, Al-Maghara, Al-Tama, Al-Dajaj, Al-Mushayrifa, Abu Dali,Al-Hawia, Tel Al-Syriatel, Al-Shatib, Um Trikiya, Rajm Al-Ahmar, Al-Zafriya, Al-Bulail, Um Khazim, Abu Al-Ghar, Baghdid, Abu Lafa, and Al-Mushayrafa, Al-Shahtiya, al-Mestriha, Jub Abyad, Rasm Abu Myal,Rasm Al-Swan, Rasm Al-Sawy, Abu Al-Ghar, Rasm Al-Ahmar, Rasm al-Tina, Jawiad, Hasrat, Kharbat Al-Rahjan, Hasnawy, Mwailah Shamali, Qasr Ali, Qasr Shawi, Tel Mahsar, Al-Rabia, Douma, Rabda, Al-Hazm, Arafa, Marijib Al-Jamlan, Al-Khafiya, Marijab Al-Jamlan, Sham Al-Hawa, Al-Rahraha, Sarha.”
