After they lost about 70 of their members and officers…the regime forces led by Suhail Al-Hassan and their allies continue their operations in Idlib and advance east of Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase to wrap around it

The regime forces control 3 villages east of Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase during their counter attack in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib and their groups advance from the southern countryside of Aleppo

The regime forces resumed their military operations in the eastern countryside of Idlib, after a stop lasted for more than 24 hours, due to the attacks they faced in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, and as a result of the repelling and the counter attack which killed tens of their members and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored intensive shelling accompanied by clashes between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and its supporting factions, in areas in the east and the north of Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase, where the regime forces managed to achieve advancement and take the control of 3 villages, in order to wrap around the airbase from eastern side, after they entered the southern part of the airbase and monitored the its western area.

These clashes are still continuing between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and its supporting factions, in which the regime forces are trying to force the latter to withdraw from the area and the airbase, while the violent fighting, intensive shelling and the advancement in the vicinity of Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase, are accompanied by violent clashes which are taking place in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib with the continuation of the regime forces’ operation in order to regain the control of the entire areas they lost, in the counter and violent attack carried out by Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement, Jaysh Al-Ahrar, Al-Sham Corps, Jaysh al-Izza, the Free Idlib Army, Jaysh al-Nukhba, the Second Army, Jaysh al-Nasr, the Islamic Party of Turkestan, Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic movement, through which they managed to control 12 villages and farms, before they lost 9 villages of them and only 3 remained under the control of the factions.

The advancement of the regime forces in the vicinity of Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase is also accompanied by an ongoing military operation by the regime forces in the southern countryside of Aleppo, were the regime forces managed to achieve advancement during the past 48 hours and take the control of 21 villages and areas at least advancing from Khanasir towards the airbase in the eastern countryside of Idlib, in which only 6 km still separate them to meet with the regime forces coming from the southern countryside of Aleppo, while it has increased to 122 at least, the number of casualties in the ranks of the regime forces and the factions since Wednesday evening, the 10th of January 2017, until the evening of today the 12th of the same month, where it rose to 68 at least, the number casualties of members of the regime forces and their allied militiamen including 4 officers at least including 3 colonels, one of whom was close to Suhail Al-Hassan, while it rose to 59 at least including 3 commanders, the number of fighters of the faction who were killed in the same clashes, and the death toll is expected to rise because of the presence of tens of wounded with varying severity; some of whom were seriously injured, and the faction managed to capture 31 other members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them today and yesterday.
