Tahrir Al-Sham and Turkestan and the factions manage to restore control of 6 areas southeast of Idlib and 72 hours of battles claim the lives of 140 members and fighters

The violent clashes take place between the regime forces backed by their allied militiamen of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the rebel and Islamic factions, Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham, Noor Al-Din Al-Zinky Movement, Jaysh Al-Nasr and Free Army of Idlib, Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement, Al-Sham Corps, Jaysh Al-Izza, and Turkestan Islamic Party, in areas in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, where the SOHR monitored the factions advancing today Saturday the 13th of January 2018,  and control the villages of Talab, Al-Dabshiya, al-Khawin, Tel Marq, Mushayrifa Shamali, and Tel Marq Silos, in conjunction with advancement in areas of Al-Zarzor, Umm Al-Khalakhil, and Al-Hamdamniya.

These clashes and the advancement of the factions during the rebel attacks, which have been ongoing, since more than 72 hours in the eastern and southeastern countryside of Idlib, coincided with shelling on Atshan villages and an attempt by the factions to advance in the area, in conjunction with heavy exchange of targeting between both parties in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, amid aerial shelling by helicopters and warplanes on the area, which left more human losses in the ranks of both parties, in addition to the members of the regime forces who were captured by the factions. The SOHR documented the death of shelling of at least 140 members and fighters of the regime forces and the factions, since Wednesday the 14th of January, where it rose to 73 members at least, including 4 officers at least including 3 colonels, one of which was close to Brigadier Suhail Al-Hassan, while it rose to at least 67, the number of fighters of the factions, including 5 leaders who were killed in the same clashes and shelling, also tens of both parties were injured with varying severity, while 31 members at least of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them were captured.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that And with the advancement of the regime forces today, in the east and south-east of Abu Al-Duhur Military Airbase, the regime forces has expanded their scope of control to 120 villages at least since they started their violent attack on the 25th of December 2017, they have also expanded their control to 163 villages and towns in the countryside of Idlib and Hama since the 22nd of October 2017, and they are: Al-Ja’kiyyah, Al-Hamidiyah, Hamidiyah Shaddad, Tel Salmo, Zafr Sagher, Zafar Kabir, Al-Dabshiya, Rasm Abed, Talb, Mera’aya, Al-Hisa, Om Jrin, Bayya’a Saghira, Bayya’a Kabira, Jub Abyad, Al-Bowayder, Aqlat Al-Bowayder, Raefah, Aziza, Rasm Nayas, Ras al-Ayn, Rasm Al-Jahsh, Om Tammakh, Rasm Al-Khshuf, Mbawas, Rasm Al-Burj, Rasm Al-Ahmar, Rasm Al-Ayn, al-Jabriya, Khariba, Rasm Al-War, Harmla.
