Heavy shelling targets Harasta and Arbin and other areas in the Eastern Ghouta, leaving people killed and injured and material damage

Rif Dimashq province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the regime forces renewed their artillery and missile shelling on areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the SOHR monitored the regime forces firing two shells at areas in the outskirts of Madira town, in conjunction with shelling of more than 20 missiles, believed to be ground-to-ground, local sources said that the shelling of these missiles fragmented into bombs causing fire to the properties and houses of the citizens in the shelling area, and no information about causalities so far, and a citizen was killed and 3 others were injured with different severity, in the shelling of the regime forces on an area in Harasta city, while the regime forces targeted Arbin by 8 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, resulted in material damage, and no information about human losses, while the regime forces fired 5 shells at areas in the towns of Hosh Al-Salhihya, Otaya in Al-Marj area, in conjunction with firing one shell at an area in Jisreen town, causing material damage to the properties of citizens, and no information about injuries, and with more casualties, the death toll rises to 235 citizens including 58 children and 42 citizen women, since the 29th of December 2017 as a result of targeting the Eastern Ghouta by hundreds of raids and hundreds of artillery and rocket strikes, and the casualties are 131 citizens including 41 children, 31 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town as well as the cities of Saqba, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin, and 104 citizens including 17 children and 11 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah, Otaya and Mesraba.
