The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes carried out strikes targeting the area of a hospital in Maarrat Al-Nu’man city, which caused material damage, in which the warplanes targeted areas in the vicinity of the hospital, killing a person and injuring others including one doctor at least, and the number of casualties may increase because of targeting the vicinity of the gynecological hospital which includes a section contains incubators for children, as the bombardment caused large material damage within the hospital, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the warplanes targeted in the morning of the 2nd of January 2018 a museum in Maarrat Al-Nu’man in the southern countryside of Idlib, and caused significant destruction in parts of the museum, which used to be a headquarters of the regime in the city back in 2011 and 2012, and later became the headquarters of Ansar al-Islam Brigades, and the trusted sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that these airstrikes have damaged parts of the museum, but no information about casualties.

In the same context, the warplanes are still continuing their bombardment on areas in Idlib countryside, in which the warplanes targeted areas in Sinjar Township, in the eastern countryside of Idlib, accompanied by bombardment by explosive barrels by helicopters, on areas in the township, the warplanes also bombed areas in Al-Tah and Al-Taman’aa towns, in the southern countryside of Idlib, amid bombardment by explosive barrels by helicopters, on areas in Qasr Al-Abyad and the villages of Kafriya and Al-Sayyadiyyah, in the south-eastern countryside of Idlib, while the warplanes bombed areas in Saraqeb town in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and Kafr Nubl town and Sheikh Mustafa village, in the south-western countryside of Idlib.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning that a squadron of warplanes flew yesterday before the midnight and after the midnight over Idlib countryside, targeting by intensive strikes places in the outskirts of Saraqeb town and the road linking Ariha, Saraqeb, Maar Dibsah, Jarjnaz, east of Idlib, and the outskirts of Maarrat Al-Nu’man, Horsh Bnin, Maarat Shurin, and the outskirts of Al-Mastumah and Wadi Al-Deif in the southern section of Idlib countryside, also the regime forces shelled places in the countryside of Jisr Al-Shughur city in the western countryside of Idlib yesterday before the midnight, while the SOHR documented the death of a person due to bombardment on places in Urum Al-Joz village in Idlib countryside last night.
