2 massacres took place in Douma and Arbin and heavy aerial shelling on 8 cities and towns claim the lives of 33 civilians in the Ghouta and raise the death toll to about 65 martyrs in 24 hours of escalation

Rif Dimashq province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the regime forces shelled again areas in the Eastern Ghouta, where the shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, in conjunction with missile shelling of the regime forces on areas in Douma city, while the death toll rose in conjunction with rising number of injured people, as a result of airstrikes on the city of Douma and other areas in the Eastern Ghouta, where the death toll in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus increased as a result of heavy and consecutive airstrikes carried out by warplanes on 10 cities and towns in the besieged Ghouta, where it rose to at least 33, including 3 children and 5 women, the number of martyrs who were killed today in the airstrikes, where two citizens were killed in airstrikes targeted cities and towns of Madyra and Hazza, and 7 citizens including a woman were killed in a massacre carried out by warplanes targeting areas in the city of Douma, and 3 citizens were killed in airstrikes on Misraba town, while 2 citizens were killed in airstrikes on areas in Zamlaka city, while 3 citizens including a woman were killed in shelling of warplanes on areas in the city of Saqba, while a child was killed in airstrikes on Harasta city, in addition to the death of 4 citizens including a child and a woman who were killed in airstrikes on Hamuriyah city, and 4 citizens including a child were killed in airstrikes on Kafrbatna town, while 7 citizens including 2 women were killed in a massacre carried out by warplanes on Arbin city, and the aerial shelling injured about 165 citizens with different severity, including tens of women and children, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of injured people in serious conditions.

Thus the death toll rise to 64 including 10 children and 9 women, who were killed today in about 24 hours of heavy airstrikes on the besieged Eastern Ghouta, while about 235 people are injured including tens of children and women with different severity, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of tens of injured people, who are suffering serious injuries, and some of them are in critical conditions, while many of them have permanent disabilities.

Thus, the death toll has increased to 322 citizens including 75 children and 53 citizen women, who have been killed since the 29th of December 2017, as a result of targeting the Eastern Ghouta by hundreds of raids and hundreds of artillery and rocket strikes, and the casualties are 202 citizens including 54 children, 41 citizen women and a male nurse, they were killed in raids by the warplanes on areas in Harasta city controlled by the Islamic movement of Ahrar Al-Sham and raids on Madyara town as well as the cities of Saqba, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin, and 120 citizens including 21 children and 12 citizen women and 2 male nurses were killed by artillery and rocket shelling targeted areas in Beit Sawa town, the cities of Harasta, Hamuriya, Douma and Arbin as well as the towns of Kafr Batna, Mesraba, Al-Nashabiyah, Otaya and Mesraba.
