In conjunction with bombardment which raised the death toll to more than 240 persons in Idlib in 45 days…Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham detonates a booby trapped vehicle and attacks the regime forces in the west of Abu Al-Duhur

A violent explosion rocked the area between Abu Al-Duhur town and Saraqeb area in the eastern section of Idlib countryside, as a result of detonating a booby trapped vehicle by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham which targeted the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them in Al-Husseiniyah area (Tell Kalba) in the west of Abu Al-Duhur, today morning Wednesday the 7th of February 2018, and confirmed information about the death and the injury of members of the regime forces and their allies which followed by exchange of targeting and violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the vicinity of Al-Husseiniyah and other areas near Tell Sultan and in the areas between Abu Al-Duhur and Saraqeb, in an attack and an attempt by the factions and Tahrir Al-Sham to achieve further advancement in the area, and this area has been witnessing run-and-hit clashes and exchange of control between the both parties for days.

While the renewed bombardment on areas in the eastern and the south-eastern sections of Idlib countryside, resulted in the fall of more human losses, of citizens who displace from an area to another, and escape from shelling to another, where it has increased to 241 citizens including 71 children and 46 citizen women, the number of the citizens whose death has been documented by the Syrian Observatory in the bombardment by the warplanes and helicopters, and by the shelling by the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on areas in Idlib countryside, since the 25th of December until today the 7th of February 2018, while tens of others were injured with permanent disabilities and sever injuries, which may increase the death toll, and the shelling also caused destruction of hundreds of houses and shops and properties.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored last Sunday and Monday the 4th and the 5th of February 2018, that the Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, the Islamic Party of Turkestan and the rebel and Islamic factions, started intensive shelling on areas in the west and the north of Abu Al-Duhur area, as a part of a preparation to start an attack by the factions on the area, amid violent clashes between the both parties in the areas of Ras Al-Ayn, Tell Sultan and Talat Al-Syriatel west of Abu Al-Duhur, which resulted in the advancement of the latter which took the control of 3 villages and a hill, followed by bombardment by warplanes and helicopters by missiles and explosive barrels on the areas which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the Islamic Party of Turkestan had controlled.
