The two Turkish pilots were killed and more human losses in the ranks of the conflicting parties raises the death toll of civilians to about 380 in 22 days of Afrin battle

The military operations are still ongoing in Afrin area, where the violent clashes are taking place between the Turkish forces and the rebel and Islamic factions against the YPG and the Self-Defense in areas in the countryside of Afrin, where the violent clashes are concentrated in Deir Balout area in the southwestern countryside of Afrin, and the area of Sheikh Kharaz in the northern countryside of Afrin, in conjunction with artillery and missile shelling on the clash area and an exchange of targeting, and there is information about human losses in the ranks of both parties, and the SOHR learned that the Turkish forces and the factions managed to advance in the area, where they are trying to hold control of the areas they controlled.

The SOHR learned from reliable sources that there is difficulty to recover the dead bodies of the two Turkish pilots, whose helicopter was downed while flying in the sky of Raju area in the western countryside of Afrin, where the sources confirmed that the two pilots were taken down in an area located in the clash area between the forces of “Olive Branch” Operation against the Kurdish forces near Kedah area in Raju district, and the sources stressed to the SOHR that the warplanes was targeted by heavy machine guns while it was flying on low altitude over the clash areas.

Places in Jandayras area in the southwestern countryside of Afrin and other areas in the village of Arab Wayaran and other places in the northeastern countryside of Afrin were targeted by artillery and missile shells by the Turkish forces, causing material damage, and the SOHR documented the death of at least 4 citizens in the past 24 hours in the village of Arab Wayran and the rest in a village near Sheikh Hadeed district, rising  the death toll of the Syrian citizens of the Kurds, Arabs and Armenians to 74 including 21 children and 13 citizen women, who are documented since the 20th of January and who were used to live in Afrin area or have been displaced to it in the past years, while tens others were injured with varying severity, including children and citizen women, some of the injuries have permanent disabilities, and the clashes, the exchange of targeting and the shelling by the Turkish forces, resulted in the fall of more human losses in the ranks of the conflicted parties, where it has increased to 140, the number of the fighters of the YPG and the Self-Defense forces who were killed in these clashes during 21 days of the military operations, while it has increased to 165, the number of the fighters and soldiers of the forces of the “Olive Branch” Operation who were killed in these clashes, including more than 25 soldiers of the Turkish forces, while the others are fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions, and tens of members of the both parties were injured with varying severity, which may raise the death toll even more.
