The escalated violence of clashes in Afrin area causes human losses and accompanied by the escalation targeting by warplanes and Turkish Forces on places in the area

Aleppo Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the escalation of the ground and aerial shelling and targeting, along with the escalation of the clashes’ violence in Afrin area, where warplanes carried out raids targeting areas in Rajo town, in conjunction with airstrikes targeted its vicinity and other places in its countryside, in the western countryside of Afrin, amid artillery and missile shelling by the Turkish Forces on places in Maabatli area “Mobata” located in the northwest of Afrin city, amid violent clashes between YPG and the Self-Defense Forces against the Turkish forces and the rebel and Islamic Factions, is areas in the countryside of Rajo, and the clashes are concentrated in the areas of Hajika and Blilka and accompanied by intense exchange of shelling and targeting, which damaged vehicles and caused confirmed casualties in the ranks of both parties.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented more human losses, which raised the number of people killed since the start of “Olive Branch” operation, through which the Turkish Forces are aiming to control Afrin area, where the Syrian Observatory has documented the death of at least 10 of the Turkish Forces and the supporting opposition Syrian factions, during the clashes and targeting in the area today, raising to 238, the number of the members of the forces of the “Olive Branch” Operation who were killed in these clashes, including 37 casualties of the Turkish forces, while it has increased to 197, the number of the fighters of the YPG and the Self-Defense forces who were killed in these military operations, the aerial and artillery shelling and the targeting, while tens of members of the both parties were injured with varying severity, which may raise the death toll even more.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published in the past hours that an agreement was reached between The YPG and the regime forces on deploying members of the regime forces on the borders between Afrin and Turkey, so as to prevent the Turkish operations inside Afrin and the “Olive Branch” operation which aims to control Afrin area and expel the Kurdish forces from the area, and reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that the talks are still ongoing between both parties on outstanding points including the administration of Afrin area and the presence of the Kurdish forces with all their weapons in the area.
