Tens of missiles, shells and raids continue to target the besieged Ghouta and raise the number of civilian casualties to 35 in less than 24 hours

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the aerial and artillery targeting to the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus by the regime forces and warplanes, is continuing, in conjunction with the continuation of the flight of helicopters and reconnaissance planes over the area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored shelling by artillery and rocket shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, as well as raids by warplanes, where the shelling targeted the towns and the cities of Douma, Harasta, Hamouriyyah, Saqba, Jisrayn, Kafr Batna, Zriqiyyeh, Otaya, Mesraba, Al-Shiffuniyya and other areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the aerial and artillery shelling resulted in the death of 18 casualties at least including a citizen woman, and including 9 casualties were killed in a massacre carried out by the warplanes in Hamouriyyah city, and the rest casualties are: 2 casualties were killed in artillery shelling on Mesraba, 4 casualties including a citizen woman who were killed in shelling by missiles by the regime forces on Saqba city, 3 casualties were killed in a raid by warplanes on areas in Jisrayn town, and the death toll is expected to increase due to the presence of tens of injuries, some of them have seriously wounded, as well as the presence of missing people under the rubble of the destruction caused by the aerial and ground shelling on the Eastern Ghouta.

This ongoing shelling which resulted in the death of more citizens, increased the death toll to 35 citizens including 5 children and 5 citizen women, who were killed in the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on several areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus during the past 24 hours, while the today’s shelling comes as a part of the resumption of the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the warplanes and the regime forces, on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, within a preparation for the start of a military operation by the regime forces led by the Brigadier General Suhail Hasan, aka “The Tiger”, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the calm is coincided with the continuation of the talks about the Eastern Chouta, in order to reach an agreement between the factions operation in the Eastern Ghouta and supervising it, and the regime’s authorities with a Russian mediation, while the talks are taking place in conjunction with ongoing mobilizations in the vicinity of the besieged Ghouta, by the regime forces and their allies, in order to carry out a wide operation in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, under the command of the Brigadier in the regime forces, Suhail Al-Hassan, known as the “Tiger”, who led the battle during which the organization was expelled from Aleppo, the Syrian desert and the west of the Euphrates, and fought previously against the rebel and Islamic factions, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from a number of reliable sources, that if the talks and negotiations failed to achieve “reconciliation” in the Eastern Ghouta, then, about 8000 Chinese troops will be brought to participate in the military operations in Rif Dimashq, in order to control the Eastern Ghouta, and secure the vicinity of the capital Damascus, where bringing the Chinese soldiers is associated with the failure of negotiations about the Eastern Ghouta, and it is noteworthy that the Russian forces officially took part in the military operations in Syria on the 30th of September 2015, in the regime’s side by air and land, and the Turkish forces officially entered Syria on the 24th of August 2016, while the International Coalition officially entered and participated in the military operations in Syria on the 23rd of September 2014.
